Hubby does this with the bar between the kitchen and family room. I am gonna take it out to open up the rooms when we put new cabinets up soon. The sofa in the bedroom is long gone. One day the dog ate it (the first dog we had 20+ years ago) he just ate the top cusions and as much as I liked that sofa, even with pillows, it pissed me off. So I replaced it with a computer desk until I moved the computer down to the kitchen 3 years ago.

Hey Jen. . .I used to attend catechism when I was young and our teacher told us that "spirits" attach themselves to your clothing She told us a story about her son. . .

She said that her son used to have a bad habit of hanging his dirty clothes on a chair in his room. She noticed a change in his personality . ..he was acting depressed and moody and she couldn't get him to tell her what was wrong.

She noticed that there was a pile of dirty clothes on his chair and she remembered that she was told that "spirits or demons" attach themselves on people's clothing so she took the clothes out and washed them and she said that she noticed that after she did that, his personality returned to normal.

LOL!!! I think our catechism teacher was trying to find a way to teach us to keep our rooms clean and to not pile dirty laundry in our rooms!! I was young when she told us that so I actually believed that bad spirits would linger in my room so I used to be afraid of keeping my dirty clothes inside my room. I started piling them out in the hallway outside my room!!! Too funny!!!!!

You should tell your kids that. . .LOL! It's a great way of getting them to clean their room or at least, not throw their dirty clothes on the floor!!!
